I accept speaking engagements willingly and enthusiastically!
I have addressed high school, college, university campuses, and bookstores about the Emmett Till case in Arkansas, California, Florida, Indiana, New York, Missouri, Mississippi, South Dakota, Tenessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and elsewhere in the United States, as well as England and Wales. I am highly qualified to speak about any aspect of this story. I have been the keynote speaker at several university programs during Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. birthday celebrations in the month of January, and during Black History Month in February.
In March 2013 I led a tour group hosted by civil rights legend and NAACP Chairman Emeritus Julian Bond for a half day, seeing the sites related to the Till case. Mr. Bond told a reporter for the Greenwood Commonwealth:
“Devery Anderson knows more about Emmett Till than anybody. He watched a TV documentary and fell in love with the story, and he’s spent 16 years learning, reading, and writing about Emmett Till.”
I have also spoken at the National Civil Rights Museum, the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum, the Clinton School of Public Service (on the grounds of the Clinton Presidential Library), and also at the Nixon Presidential Library. I have appeared on CSPAN twice discussing my book and have been on several local TV programs throughout the country.
